Roy Lichtenstein is one of the most recognisable artists of the 1960s ‘Pop Art’ movement. Inspired by the comic book art of the time, this book cover is an obvious, yet humorous pastiche of his work. As the book looks at slang terms and 1960s pop culture, I believe that the content and the title of the book led the designer to draw his inspiration from this art style as it is now indicative of the era.
