The new owners at Blue Kangaroo Coffee Roasters were looking for a brand overhaul, without changing the established cafe’s name. They needed a new brand identity, packaging and store designs, plus brand guidelines to help with consistency moving forwards.
The new identity needed to adapt across many different touch points, so I created a brand mark that would immediately represent the coffee house. A bold blue kangaroo, nursing a warm cup of coffee. Her pouch mimics the coffee cup shape. The rest of the branding followed suit, with a royal blue and off-white colour palette rolled out across coffee cups, napkins and packaging labels. I created a secondary set of colours for the different coffee blends and icons, which feature in-store and on labels. A highlight was seeing the new brand mark painted four metres high on the side of the coffee house!
